Panini stickers are a big part of football culture, it all began with the Panini brothers, Benito and Giuseppe in 1961.
It was not until 1970 the brothers launched their first world cup sticker albums for the tournament in Mexico.
The football sticker craze then started, we would all then swap Silver or gold stickers, along with the other card variations. The phrase 'What silvers you got?' was then probably used millions of times when we were all in school. The first Panini sticker album in the UK was launched in 1970 for the Mexico World Cup.
Other terms over the years have become common such as 'swapsies' and 'shinies'. The Panini sticker craze has taken over the world, and also covers club football around the world leagues!
